Clinging to a rock in the river, the current pulls at us, fights us, fatigues us, threatens to overtake us. Then a simple thought occurs: “let go”. We hesitate, but relent. As we float gently down the river, the roaring river fills us with strength.
This single piece of white oak is carved and burned and trimmed with over 20,000 nails and 10 feet of chain. It’s finished with 9 coats of tung oil.
